About

Two muppets in the Galtee Mountains, Co. Tipperary

M&M’s i.e. Magda & Marcin, a married Polish couple in their 30’s, at present “unemployed and homeless” by choice. If a profession defines a person to any extent, Magda is, or maybe was, a teacher of English as a foreign language and Marcin’s last occupation – a software engineer.

We’ve spent the last 3 years in Ireland, Limerick, where we met fantastic friends and gained a new perspective on living abroad. There’s nothing spiritual or philosophical behind our decision to quit a 9 to 5 job and hit the road for a year or so. We have decided to make our first long-term journey around Asia as a transition step between careless youth and mature middle age, or as we prefer to call it, the everlasting youth.

The only question we asked ourselves was why not? So many people do something similar that it is hardly anything exceptional any longer, but it IS for us. Backpacking for a year at the age of 30 may sound slightly irresponsible to some and it just happens that our close family belongs to this group. So what that it may seem immature, irresponsible or simply spendy. Here we are, doing our Asia journey and we’re going to bloody enjoy it!

    1. I’m afraid we left India yesterday and are in Nepal at the moment. I truly love India and hope to come back one day. Maybe we could meet then. Good luck!

  3. I’ve read some of your posts and I enjoyed them as much as I like staring at your photographs. I hope you’ll make it to Indonesia (and go further than just Bali). Keep writing and safe travel!

    1. I really wish we could go to Indonesia and Bali, but we’ve actually finished our trip at the beginning of April. Next time Indonesia and Bali to visit you! 🙂

    1. My już niestety wróciliśmy. Od kwietnia w PL, ale niewykluczone, że kiedyś znowu wyruszymy. Ba, jestem tego pewna! 🙂 Wszystkiego dobrego i powodzenia w realizacji marzeń. Świat jest zbyt piękny, żeby oglądać go tylko w TV i na stronach magazynów podróżniczych. Just go! 🙂
